UGLJAN UND PAŠMAN

Although two islands, Ugljan and Pašman are often mentioned together because they are connected by a bridge and form an almost single landmass. They are the closest islands in the Zadar archipelago to the mainland, with a short ferry ride of about 20 minutes from Zadar.

They are connected to the mainland by ports in Zadar and Biograd, with numerous ferry and passenger boat lines. We recommend visiting Ugljan (the town), Lukoran near the famous Olive Island Marina, the charming town of Preko (which is also the main ferry port), Kali with one of the largest fishing fleets on the Adriatic coast, Kukljica, Dobropoljana, Pašman, and Ždrelac – all known for beautiful beaches and walking trails.

No other island is as well connected to the mainland as Ugljan.
Ugljan and Pašman together have over 30 ferry and boat lines daily, even in winter.

PREKO

Preko is situated on the island of Ugljan, the most inhabited island of the Zadar Archipelago. It is also a ferry port which connects the island with the town of Zadar. It was inhabited even in Roman times, and it is known today by its historical buildings.

The town offers beautiful beaches, crystal-clear sea, waterfront promenades, restaurants, cafés, shops and all amenities required for comfortable year-round living. Its Mediterranean atmosphere, proximity to Zadar and excellent infrastructure make it one of the most sought-after locations in the Zadar archipelago.

As the transport and administrative centre of the island Ugljan, Marina Preko is located in the centre of the town, near all restaurants, shops, the marketplace, the infirmary, the pharmacy, the post office, etc. Marina Preko offers annual berth, winter berth, monthly berth and daily berth.

There are modern sanitary facilities in the marina, water, electricity, Wi-Fi, assistance with docking and undocking, as well as with administrative operations related to vessels.

On the east side of Preko, near the ferry dock, is the Romanesque Church of St. John from the 11^th century, and in the centre of the town is the early Christian Church of Our Lady of the Rosary.
