Borik

Borik is a part of the city located in the western part known among locals and tourists for its numerous beautiful sandy and pebble beaches, crystal clear sea and views of the islands and landscaped promenade by the sea, which makes it an ideal place for walks by the sea, cycling or running.

In the past Borik was known as a summer resort for rich people of Zadar, and today it is still a favorite holiday destination. Borik beach is one of the most popular beaches of Zadar. It is a favorite location for tourists because of its numerous facilities, a large hotel complex, Falkensteiner Resort Borik and D- Marin Borik, a marina for boats. In Borik you can also find other types of accommodation such as apartments and pensions. There are also numerous cafes, night clubs and restaurants where it is advisable to try local specialties, such as fish, prosciutto and Pag cheese. In addition to the young population, Borik is extremely loved by families with children because of the beaches and the diversity of children’s facilities.

This part of the city is well connected from the city center, about 4km away, by regular bus lines. For those who want more additional sports activities in the nearby there is the Sports Center Višnjik with swimming pools, tennis courts and other sports facilities. The nearest airport is Zadar Airport, about 14km away from Borik.

Borik is an increasingly sought-after location for family life because of all the facilities necessary for everyday life, which are within easy reach. In addition to entertainment and recreation facilities, Borik also has a school, kindergarten, numerous shops, general medicine clinic, dental office and pharmacy.
