The Museum of Ancient Glass

The Museum of Ancient Glass is a unique cultural institution not only in Croatia but worldwide. It proudly presents its impressive collection of over 5000 different glass objects from antiquity. The Museum is recognized as one of the leading attractions in Zadar, and except to the exhibition space, the museum also has a glass workshop that works through the whole year, where replicas of antique glass, glass jewellery and souvenirs are made.

Within this museum there are two halls for exhibitions, lectures, book presentations and screening of educational films of glass making. Also, there is a rich souvenir shop that offers many souvenirs made in a museum workshop, then a specialized library and a congress hall.

Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar is the only specialized museum of that kind in the world which makes it an important location for introducing Zadar.
