Belafuža

Ideally situated for a family life, Belafuža is a calm neighborhood in Zadar’s western section. The city center is quite close which makes this neighborhood even more desirable. It provides all the facilities necessary for everyday life. In the immediate vicinity of this settlement there is a school, kindergarten, bank, post office, numerous shops, market, restaurants and children’s playgrounds.

Also, this part of Zadar is well connected by bus lines with other parts of the city as well as city beaches.

Members of the Association “Society of Friends of Belafuža” preserved memories of the history of this part of the city through a mural on a visible building depicting the old Belafuža church, a public tap that depicts difficult days when there was no water in the houses, a hoe as the main working tool, a carduelis bird that shows the game of catching these birds, then a horseshoe because they were the only ones who had a blacksmith at the time. The grapes are also shown, and this represents the former numerous vineyards that were located near Žmirići.
