Branimir’s coast

Branimir coast is one of the most beautiful promenades in Zadar. From the peninsula, the city center, Branimir’s coast is separated only by a pedestrian bridge from which there is the most beautiful view of the sunset in the world according to the famous writer Alfred Hitchcock. He visited Zadar back in 1964 and said: “Zadar has the most beautiful sunsets in the world, more beautiful than the one in Key West, in Florida, applauded at every evening”.

Also, the bridge offers a view of a boat transport rowed by the famous Zadar ‘barkajoli’, which since the 14th century connect the two shores of the city port – from Điga, the breakwater with the lighthouse, to the Peninsula with their small rowing boats in all weather conditions and thus for generations of Zadar residents shortened the trip to work or to the city center.

From this part of town to the nearest beach it takes only 10 minutes by foot. In the immediate vicinity there are all the facilities necessary for everyday life. Also, Branimirova obala is a favorite location for many tourists because they do not have to use a car, everything they need is within easy reach.
