Brodarica

Brodarica is a quiet part of the city and is located in the middle of Zadar’s seaside promenade, the famous Lungo mare, which stretches from the Borik area to the city center. It is only a 10-minute walk away from the Peninsula and is located next to the sea and the famous Zadar bathing areas.

Looking at the historical background of this part of the city, Brodarica is one of the former important maritime Zadar suburbs. There used to be economic exchange by sea between Zadar and the whole Ravni Kotari region and the outside world, centered around the area of Brodarica (Barcagna). The grain was threshed in Vitrenjak where the bread was made, and wax candles were made in Voštarnica (Cerarija).

The fastest way to the city center is by boat transport rowed by famous Zadar ‘barkajoli’. This is an ideal area of the city for the family life; it is quite calm and yet close enough to all the facilities for both entertainment and everyday life activities.

In the immediate vicinity there is a school, kindergarten, the famous park Vruljica, numerous shops, caffes and restaurants.
