Grbe
Grbe is a small place in the northwestern part of Zadar County, located northeast above the royal city of Nin and as such administratively belongs to Nin. This place found its position between the historic town of Nin and Vrsi.
The interesting history of this place tells that on the fertile fields of today’s settlement there used to be a tobacco factory of the Venetian nobleman Jerolim Manfrin, which was soon shut down after the fall of the Republic of Venice. On the remains of the oldest tobacco factory in Dalmatia and the entire economic complex built by Manfrin, the village of Grbe developed in the 19th century. The monumental entrance or the so-called triumphal arch from the era of the large economic complex stands today as evidence of history from 1786.
It is important to mention that this small place is more and more developed for tourism, which is supported by the increasing number of holiday accommodation units as well as the Grbe Campsite. Here you can enjoy the charms of rural tourism, cycling on newly renovated bike paths, walks in nature and in visit of four small lakes.
