Knightly Days in Vrana
Knightly Days in Vrana is a historical-scenic spectacle that is organized every summer in Vrana near Pakoštane in the renovated Mašković Han, a former Turkish fortress from the 17th century. This three-day event is the biggest historical event in the entire Adriatic. Several thousand visitors each year enjoy in the reconstruction of the historic battles between the Christian army and the Turkish invaders. In addition, there are medieval crafts and trades, medieval cuisine and Glagolitic workshop, and there are also organized knights’ tournaments.

Walking through Maškovića han on Knightly Days in Vrana, you can see the Templars, Turkish pashas, knights-horsemen, jugglers and simple people. The whole event has been reconstructed in a way that leads each visitor through the history and historical battles that have happened in this area. This event also has an international character because the formation of knight groups consists not only of participants from Croatia, but also from other European countries.
As part of this historic spectacle, there is also a Maritime night battle organized in Pakoštane. It is a unique event and reconstruction of a naval battle at sea where the Christian army and Turkish invaders fight with wooden ships with flaming arrows, torches, and replicas of medieval cannons.
