Night of the Full Moon Festival

A Night of the Full Moon Festival is a manifestation that is traditionally organized in the old town of Zadar, along the seafront. It is a three-day festival of food, drink, culture, tradition, history and customs of the Zadar islands, coasts, and hinterland. In the night of full moon public lighting is turn off and everything is lit by bright torches, candles, and a shining moon. Stands set up across the coast offer traditional cuisine to many visitors which also can enjoy in the traditional music.

A special feature of this festival is the anchored boats, which have been transformed into stands with a rich and autochthonous gastro offer. The entire program is designed to bring visitors back to the history to remember a former way of life. Night of the Full Moon Festival occurs every year on a night when the moon is full, in late July or early August.
