Open days – Nin Saltworks

Open days – Nin Saltworks

Nin Saltworks, over 1500 years old, organizes Open Days event every year for visitors. In this way, with professional guidance, it wants to show the real story about the making of salt in a completely natural way.  As part of the Salt Festival, all visitors can participate in creative salt-picking workshops. In Nin Saltworks salt is not produced by man or by machine. Salt is produced by sun, sea and wind and the man is picking it with love. Nin salt is medicinal, ecological and completely natural for daily nutritional and health use. Open Days give you the opportunity to learn all about the so-called “white gold” – salt, the healing mud of Nin, the Velebit wind and about 200 bird species that inhabit the region.
