Rovanjska

Rovanjska

A few kilometers southeast of the Paklenica National Park, just north of the Maslenica Bridge, at the very end of the Velebit Channel lies Rovanjska. In a beautiful bay overlooking the picturesque village of Vinjerac, at the foot of the Velebit mountain range, Rovanjska boasts a beautiful coastline along which a promenade with excellent beaches stretches. The place belongs together with Maslenica to the municipality Jasenice.

The nature in this area with its crystal clear sea offers beautiful parks, hiking trails, caves, and cyclists will enjoy the cycling routes here.

The Modrič Cave located in Rovanjska is a true gem of the Velebit Mountains and we recommend a trip with an experienced speleologist to explore it. This is a unique corner of nature and fascinating forms of stalagmites and stalactites make this cave so special.

The 9th century St. George’s Church on the coast is also unique and of extraordinary importance as a monument to the old Croatian sacral architecture.

The main economic activities are in Rovanjska as in your surroundings, olive growing, livestock, fisheries and certainly tourism as the main economic activity in this part of Croatia.

Rovanjska is very well connected with Zadar, which is only 35 km away.

In Rovanjska live permanently and constantly around the 300 people who visit many guests from all over the world in the summer months to enjoy the sea, good food and fishermen’s festivals. The guests of Rovanjska keep coming back and many are choosing exactly this place for their holiday home.
