Sabunike
Sabunike is a small village which belongs to the Privlaka locality, settled between Privlaka itself and the historic royal town of Nin. This quiet and charming village is located on the flat sandy field (sabun = sand) on the north-eastern side of the Privlaka peninsula, only a 24-minute drive from the famous tourist destination of Zadar.
It is known for its long sandy beach and shallow bays where, due to the wind blowing from Velebit, the unforgettable experience of windsurfing or kite-sailing is provided. For adventurers, this place is a surfing destination and as such it is the second most famous place for surfing in Croatia. Many families decide to spend the summer in Sabunike because of the beautiful shallow entrance to the sea, ideal for the children.

Not far from Sabunike is the westernmost land point of Dalmatia called Cape Artić. From this place there is a wonderful view that is not to be missed, especially during sunset when the colors of the sky and the sun are unimaginable.

From Sabunike, you can easily reach the famous salt fields in Nin, the museum of salt and places with healing mud. Sabunike is also an excellent starting point for exploring the northern part of Dalmatia, which offers several national parks such as Plitvice Lakes, Krka Waterfalls and Paklenica, as well as the famous nature parks Vrana Lake and Velebit.
