Saljske užance festivity

The biggest festivity in Sali on Long Island, Saljske užance, has been organized for over 60 years. It is a cultural and entertaining event which offers three days of entertainment, concerts, unusual sports competitions, gastronomic competitions, presentations of local customs, along with traditional local food.

This event gathers more and more people every year and is known for the best festivity in the entire Long Island. The specialty of this festivity is the traditional donkey race “Trka tovarov“, a spectacular event for all visitors especially for tourists. There were also organized numerous of competitions, such as rope pulling, scooter racing, then the competing in cooking and seafood roasting. Evenings are reserved for concerts by renowned Croatian musicians and Dalmatian bands.

Saljske užance festivity also offer many traditional delicacies so that everyone can taste the island’s lifestyle and Mediterranean cuisine. The live entertainment program with live music lasts until the early morning. The long and rich tradition of Sali festivity has made it one of the most famous festivities in the entire Adriatic.
