Sukošan

Sukošan is a small touristic place just 7 km from the city of Zadar. It is a quiet place with long seaside promenades, clear and clean sea. It has over 10 km long indented coasts, which are decorated with great beaches and beautiful coves. The place is good for life all year round, as there is on-site kindergarten, elementary school, general practitioners and dentist, market, shops, cafes, restaurants, sports hall, playground and children’s park. In addition, many have discovered Sukošan as an ideal holiday destination. Sukošan has numerous apartments, guesthouses, hotels and campsites and is a real paradise for boaters thanks to the largest marina on the Adriatic.

The most famous beach is definitely the so-called children’s paradise; Sandy beach full of amenities. The coast along the children’s paradise is paved with stone slabs and a part is covered with pebbles. There is a children’s playground and an aquapark, as well as numerous cafes, restaurants and beach bars. Towards the end of the village there is the famous pebble beach “Mala Makarska” (“Little Makarska”). There are volleyball and basketball courts, boccia court and numerous facilities for children built. There is also a nice beach bar, a restaurant and fast food.

Nautical tourism is especially developed in Sukošan because of its beautiful marina. D-Marin marina Dalmacija has 1200 fully equipped berths in the sea and a dry dock for about 500 boats to storage on land. At the same time, it is also the largest marina on the Adriatic. The marina is beautifully decorated and located in a natural bay. Here there is again a beautiful pebble beach, where there is a restaurant and a beach bar.

Sukošan has a direct connection to the motorway via a freeway, which is about 3 km away. Airport is also only 6 km away.
