The Cathedral of St. Anastasia

The Cathedral of St. Anastasia is the largest church in Dalmatia. This Romanesque building was built on two steps, in the 12th and 13th centuries. The cathedral is one of the most visited urban spiritual sites in Zadar, and its bell tower is must-see for all visitors. The bell tower of St. Anastasia is 54 meters high. There are 183 stairs leading to the top of the bell tower where stands a high final octagonal pyramid with a statue of angel. Since it is open for visitors, it has become a favorite location because of unique panoramic view.
