The Archaeological Museum Zadar
The Archaeological Museum Zadar is the second oldest museum in Croatia and one of the oldest in this part of Europe, founded in the 19th century. The new building in the heart of the historic center of Zadar, in the Forum, where the museum is located, is exposed to most of the material and spiritual heritage of the Croats.

Here in the Archaeological Museum of Zadar, you can also see numerous objects that illustrate life in northern Dalmatia during the Roman times, then prehistoric archeological material from the Stone and Metal Age. Except to viewing, museum activities include a number of archaeological research, organization of exhibitions and hosting temporary exhibitions that attract an increasing number of fans of history and archeology.
