The Forum of Zadar
The Forum of Zadar or another name – Poljana pape Ivana Pavla II, dates back to the imperial period Roman state. It is surrounded by St. Donat ‘s church, St. Mary’s church and the Archbishop’s Palace. By its measures, it is the largest forum on the Adriatic that has been destroyed throughout history. However, some original forms such as pillars, sidewalks and monumental columns have been preserved.

The reconstruction of associated historical layers of the Roman Forum and are functionally linked together all a whole space. Thus was made a square, a pedestrian plateau with greenery and benches, and fountain which connecting the two levels. On the green surface there are placed antique fragments such as a low medieval walls. This arrangement, which combined history and contemporary interpretation, made the Forum a space of intense use with the organization of numerous outdoor concerts, festivals, exhibitions and various events.
